When my daughter was four, I started visiting primary schools. I walked into room after room packed with children — claustrophobic, crowded spaces where they had already started separating the "bright" ones from the "slow" ones. Before they'd even had a chance to begin.

I knew that wasn't the path for us. More than anything, I wanted to be with my daughter while she grew up — not dropping her at the door and getting just a few hours with her in the evenings. I wanted to be part of her learning, her curiosity, her world.

So we chose a different way.

Home education is one of the most intentional, loving choices you can make for your family. But I quickly found out how scattered everything was. Classes here, groups there, events buried in a Facebook group, resources on a forum nobody checks anymore.

There was no one warm, organised, welcoming place to find it all. So I built one myself.

Home Ed Circle was born out of frustration — but more than that, out of love. Love for this life we've chosen, and a genuine belief that every mum on this journey deserves a space that truly supports her. Somewhere she can breathe out, feel less alone, and find exactly what her family needs.
