Home Ed Sensory Sessions

Join us weekly on Tuesdays (term time only) for our Sensory Sessions! There are two different sessions to choose from: Imaginative Investigators is for ages 5+ and is better for younger learners, those with developing communication skills and children with higher support needs. Curious Creators is the other group which is for ages 8+ and is better suited to children who can communicate independently and those with lower support needs. All sessions are designed with those with SEN in mind but everyone is welcome.

Each session has a different theme and all sessions consist of at least three sensory stations to explore freely. Each session will also have an optional adult led sensory activity to produce something to take home. Some examples of things planned for Nov-Dec are: make a sensory bottle, firework salt painting, emotion stress balls and snow painting just to name a few.

Sessions are run by Lauren. She is a qualified teacher with extensive experience of guiding children to learn through play. As well as running sensory sessions she also offers 1:1 tutoring for children with SEN, including those on EOTAS packages. She holds a valid enhanced DBS and has recently undertaken up to date training on therapeutic and trauma informed care.
