All ages, Home Ed

Our workshops enhance engagement through visual storytelling, debates and general discussions on philosophy, history, science and art history. We believe that all children should have a chance at understanding their true past with its complexities and through discussions learn how to vocalise their feelings, opinions and ideas. The ideas are always challenged or questioned, just like they are in life. We embrace human engagement and put pressure on delivering meaningful conversations each time we meet.

At our practical sessions we embrace deep discussions and studies, often covering the well-known copywork method with broken down and understandable approach. This does not mean step-by-step drawing, quite the opposite. We teach all elements of art, supporting fundamentals and always encouraging personal style and creativity. We believe teaching children seeing is more important than teaching them how to draw symbols. We embrace a method that first grabs children’s minds, then their eyes and hands. We encourage drills and practice at home along with regular attendance at workshops as drawing or painting is a talent-based skill, but a graft. With commitment and time we know the results will show.

To keep engagement high between sessions, we offer children take-home projects covering artist and artwork studies based on the Feldman’s Method or skill based exercises.
